Thyrus, me trying to get 2500 fav with my cleric now, now around 2200 pts. I think I can solo most of the L10 or below elite quests easily, I mean those new ones from mod 8 and mod 9 coz those b4 prolly cleared liao. Shld have no prob solo up to 2500 fav (within a week or 2 max) but if ya gang need elite fav and dun mind no xp, u can send me a tell. I will be online like 30-60 min aday (after 30 min in Perfect World to do daily BH and CS quests), if got pug reaver/sos/hound/shroud I will join, if not I just solo fav quests.

If u guys got high lvl quests/raids, I can oso tag along. I dun have uber gear or alot of mana (around 1600 only since I solo most of the time and have no shroud/gs gear), but I can top up the diff with unlimited heal scrolls (lol, not unlimited la, but 200-300 with me all the time) since I earn $$$ from selling solo'd loots.

My toon is Ziltus (L17 cleric).

Look out for my other guild members, I can only remember Claudyea (from Singapore), he should play around 7~9pm I think. Can't remember other guild members name, too many.

Recently a few of them got bored with DDO liao and went back to LOTRO. I am still on, but usually I play very late hours (after 10.30, sometimes 2~4am) so you probably cannot match my timing. Furthermore, another friend ask me to make new toon in server Kelani(sp?).

Hmm...unlimited scrolls...which tavern does your toon stay? May send a rogue there...

Heh, not really unlimited, just that I dun mind burning scrolls to complete quest, PROVIDED the grp is cooperative. If pple anyhow cheong and die, I would rather leave grp and find another. My scrolls oso use blood/sweat money to buy hor.

UMD is cross-class for fighters, right? So, you only gain 0.5 per level?

Yes, but u still can train and find +umd/luck items. It's more for those pple who wanna use everything or the hardcore gamers who wanna max their char. Normal player like me, I do train umd only of I can spare 2 skills per lvl, otherwise I rather invest in jump for my melee, more practical and more useful (stacks with jump clickies and +jump item).

golden cartouche = +3
skill focus: +3
greater heroism: +4
head of good fortune: +2
human versatility I: +2
total = 28

shroud tier III: +6
total = 34

actually shroud items up to tier II is easy to craft. its only the tier III that requires a tremendous effort due to the low drop rate of large ingredients

my fighter has 14 int. besides maxing out umd, he also maxed out balance and jump

My style more like Ziltus, play play can liao.
BTW, UMD need so high meh? I saw some uber weapons only need like UMD 26 or so only...

Like I said, for casual player like me, can play play can liao. My pallies carry all the gtr banes, power 5 and situation weaps like transmute of PG which my class can use instead of pumping UMD. Even though I play casually and MIA after every few mths, I managed to gather all the gtr banes for my pallies' weap choice (one is khop, the other is LS, now thinking of making a melee/healing FvS specialised in scimitar).

Of coz if got alot of time, can chiong Shroud to farm but so far I hardly do shroud but I get all my larges from Amg's quests hehe. There are always alot of pug shroud runs but I usually dun join coz failure rate is high so far for me (join like 5, all failed but 4 was done long time ago, the recent one is done after mod 9, failed at last fight, joined using my pally). I think I will lvl higher b4 join again. Plus it's one of the longest raids (as compare to Reaver's fate), hard to afk and let everyone waits when my kids need my attention.

Now my priority is to get 2500 fav pts for FvS unlocked, left with 104 pts more to go but left with those high lvl quests elite, not easy to find PUG since most pug only do normal for loots/xp.

Aranticus, Crimson Eagle usually raid at wat time? If raid half way afk few min to attend to kids can or not?

the only part where u really need more focus is the shroud tier III item. the rest of the items can be easy obtained, ie +2 tome can buy, head is from reaver. high umd is for wand and scroll usage. shield spell has a benefit of stopping magic missile and its a self cast spell, so the use of a shield wand helps alot. not only that you can scroll heal, teleport, etc

i have to admit my fighter is a very focused build but its really solid even thou hes not completed yet. check this link for more info

i hardly see anyone failing shroud these days. i would say that my record for shroud is 99% and that is having done at least 500 shrouds. the duration of a shroud is not too long these days, people have done 14 min runs. i prefer it relaxed and it takes about 35 min

CE raid time usually abt 7pm - 12am sg time. depending on which class u bring, afk can be possible. if you are a melee, doesnt really matter when but if you are a healer, sudden afk in shroud 4 and 5 while boss fight is a no no

For me, I think I only know which is handle, which is blade will do.

if u need to carve a niche for yourself, that is what u need to do. many times i have people asking him to join raids, that for me is the affirmation that you need as a player. it indicates that people think you will be an asset rather than a liability to the party

However, besides build, I guess it also depends on play-style, team-work, friendship etc. Previously in CoH I have a pure archer defender which is something like "healer that cannot heal". However, when played well, most of the time the mish is successful and made many friends there, some still in contact now.

Later playing LOTRO was too casual, all toons have the same skills, so not much planning was done. So, it mostly depends on play style, not build.

DDO is something in between. You can custom build a little but limited. The most flexible being fighter, I think. Yours is the uber build, I will say.
But I will still team with Ziltus' cleric, cos a scroll heal is as good as a spell heal.

I remembered my first MMO which is Ultima Online, we were PvP and my friend shouted me to heal him, I cast "Corp Por" (lightning bolt) on him. He never let me forget this for more than 10 years...

I am more of a casual (lazy) player. My main (in Khyber) is ranger following arcane-archer route, except I changed skill for balance to search. My main (in Solarin) is rogue following assassin route for now. Did not plan for any customised toons yet cos still at "learning" stage.

One of my friend tried some funny combo, like Bard/Barb/Sorc, Barb/Fighter, Wiz/Sorc/Barb, Barb/Fighter...at low levels some funny combo quite powerful but I foresee problem at higher levels.

For my own toons, you can see they are more "skilled based" rather than dps. So, they are quite fun although they may not be the best dps.

these builds are fun to play at low levels but once into GH, they fail with disasterous results. try out a dps toon with skills ie 16 or 18 str tempest ranger. it will change your perspective of the game

Yep, always think it is fun for a tempest ranger, but not yet decided if I want to make a 2-weapon fighter, tempest-rogue, tempest-rogue-monk, fighter-rogue. Problem with tempest is capstone is not melee...yet.

Problem with tempest is capstone is not melee...yet.

actually that is not a problem. its a benefit. without the capstone, tempests are already attacking faster compared to other classes due to tempest alacrity and tempest III stwf
